Space in the Gap supports artists, artisans, and small creative businesses by providing free and/or affordable space with property owners to activate vacant space in “the gap” between long term tenants. Space in the Gap works at the intersection of economic development, placemaking, small creative business incubator and cultural production.  We transform commercial vacancies into artist studios, exhibition space, event rentals,  and artisan marketplaces.

SG harnesses the existing and potential energy in communities and innovates new opportunities for collaboration, promotion, and income for artists,  artisans, non-profits, creative businesses, cities, property owners, and community organizations.
